"Breaking Barriers"
Nick is a 30-year-old man with a spinal cord injury who has always been passionate about sports. However, he struggled to find opportunities to play competitively until he received support from his NDIS plan. With funding for adaptive equipment and coaching, Nick was able to join a local wheelchair basketball team and has since become a valued member of the community. He has also inspired other people with disabilities to get involved in sports and break down barriers.

While I appreciate the intention behind this disability service, I have found it to be quite unhelpful in practice. The staff seem overworked and disorganized, and it can be difficult to get ahold of someone when I need help. I wish they could provide more personalized support and better communication.
